Lip Augmentation In Kentucky

Lip augmentation is a procedure designed to increase the size of the lips in order to create a fuller and more attractive lip. The Lip Augmentation procedure is a safe procedure used by both women and men of all ages. Each lip may be treated separately from each other, or as a combined procedure.

In the last ten years, the lip augmentation procedure has become one of the more popular cosmetic procedures, especially among women. There are two main approaches to lip augmentation. One type utilizes natural or man made synthetic fillers to achieve the desired lip size. The results of using fillers are, in most cases temporary and repeat treatments will be required to maintain the result. Another approach is a surgical technique where the plastic surgeon relocates lip tissue from the inside to the outside of the lip.

There Are Many Different Procedures Used For Lip Enhancement

There are many different types of Lip Enhancement and here are a few that I believe are the most effective ways of enhancing your lips.

Injectables like Restylane which is an FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler that can enhance the fullness of the lip by injecting collagen along the lip border. This can also fill out flat areas across the vermillion border.

Fat Transfer is another type of Lip Enhancement that is very effecting because it takes fat from your own body in places like your thighs and your abdomen then is processed and injected into the lips, giving them more volume.

Implantables like Gore-tex are also very effective in enhancing your lips because the implants are surgically implanted into the lips and can last for many, many years.

For anyone wanting to learn more about these procedures more information can be found on the ifcsutah.com website.

Lip Augmentation Can Provide The Lips You Desire

Lip augmentation procedures increase the size of the lips to make them fuller and can also be used to define the vermilion border of the lips. Upper and lower lips can be treated individually or at the same time.

Lip augmentation can be accomplished either surgically or with the injection of temporary (dermal) fillers. Autologous fat injections to the lips are a longer lasting alernative to the dermal fillers.

During the fat injection procedure, fat is harvested from another area of the body, usually the abdomen, and the fat is separated, purified and injected with small needles into the lips. Because not all of the fat will survive, the lips are over-corrected at first so that the final result will meet your expectations. The procedure can be done as an outpatient with some light sedation anesthesia. This is often performed in conjunction with other procedures. The result can last 6 months to several years. Occasionally patients may wish to repeat the procedure.
